The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Washington, DC, seeks candidates with experience in economic development for the full-time position of Professional Development/Education Associate. Immediate contract/temp opening during search – possible temp-to-perm position.
Responsibilities include supporting instructors for approximately 20 education courses per year; ongoing updates to course manuals, case studies and presentation materials; managing our accreditation program including the relationships with accredited partners and the reporting/review process for reaccreditation. The accredited partners deliver an additional 30 courses per year. IEDC’s professional development program supports the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) program. The position offers content support to the CEcD exam.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in economic development or related field. Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in a related field preferred. Position requires strong planning, team management and organizational skills as well as excellent research and writing skills. Salary $40,000+ dependent on qualifications. Moderate to heavy travel.
