Marketing Intern Part-Time Job Opening

Charney Research (www.charneyresearch.com <http://www.charneyresearch.com/>
)  is a New York based political polling and market research firm looking
for a hard-working business or marketing student or recent grad to work as a
marketing intern for our focus group facility.

We opened a focus group facility at our mid-town Manhattan office this year,
and we need a dynamic marketing intern to help us implement our marketing
strategy among potential clients (marketing and advertising firms, as well
as freelance moderators and focus group firms in other cities). The job will
involve:
-       Advertising – placing our ads in marketing magazines and
directories.
-       Newsletter – distributing a monthly newsletter on our work (perhaps
helping design or write for it as well).
-       Outreach – calls to existing and potential clients.
-       Events – helping set up one (perhaps two) events for clients and
friends.

The will involve 12 hrs/ week from January through June, with exact start
and finish dates subject to your availability.  There is a possibility of
renewal over the summer or fall.  Pay will be $15 per hour plus commission
for any work attracted through your telephone efforts.

We¹re looking for marketing or business students or recent grads who want
some hands-on experience and responsibility.  Undergraduate or graduate
training in marketing and some experience in the field are musts.  The job
also requires a well-organized, smart, self starter who can meet deadlines
and think creatively.  Since we are a small firm with high standards, we
need someone who can work under close supervision from the boss and values
the opportunity to learn. If you meet this description, this could be a
great job for you.

If you¹re interested, send a resume and cover letter to Lisa Braff
( lisa@charneyresearch.com).  Review of resumes will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled (hopefully no later than Feb. 15).
Resumes without cover letters will not be considered.
